Tomorrow, almost 2 1/2 years after a "family pet" pit bull tried to kill my daughter, we finally get our day in court.

William Johnson Stupid pitters. They actually showed up. Without an attorney, thinking they could provide a defense.. Sorry, idiots that part of the case is over. We had already been granted a default judgement. This was an "assessment of damages" hearing to determine the judgement.

Dusty Brown If they had a court reporter you should be able to get a copy of the transcripts. They usually record everything as well, don't know if you could get that but the transcripts alone should bring you lots of joy in the future like a book that is so good you just have to read it one more time.

A young person/virtual child on top of it all (Not sure of her age at this point!!) ... A good example of how not all adults can be trusted.

William Johnson Lisa, you could have made a movie out of it.. They led us out of the courtroom, to a secure exit. Pitter mom was crying on the floor that her life will never be the same and it was my fault. Pitter dad was trying to ask the judge for a restraining order. It was insane.

William Johnson I kinda felt bad for their kids. Adara and their daughter were best friends. Their older daughter, thank god, intervened. They were witnesses but their was no need to bring them to yesterday's hearing. And watching their parents fall apart made me sad for them.

Lisa Gaffney Nice letter Guy Nohrenberg. I just wanted to comment on one thing though, Doberman deaths are actually quite low - 8 people in 32 years. That is more myth than anything else. Of course, 30 years ago 8 would gave been a huge number but in comparison to today's numbers of pit bulls and their mixes, mastiffs and Rottweilers, its really rather low.
