  Megan Herrick That's what I thought after watching it. You'd be amazed at how many people kept claiming it wasn't a pit.

  Of course that was a pit bull-- you couldn't tell by the "shark like bites" on that poor kid!!

  Megan HerrickLike I said, I figured it was a pit, but couldn't tell from just the footage of the dog attacking. But it seemed to me like very pit bull-ish behavior. Especially when it went after the child unprovoked. The bites also made me believe that it was a pit. But as I also said I couldn't find anything about the dog's breed on any of the news channels either. So I figured it couldn't hurt to post and ask if anyone else thought it was a pit as well.

  Morgan Love Definitely a good amount of pit type if a mix! Body is stocky n lean, short coat, unprovoked assault, grabbing and shaking. Sounds like pit bull to me

  Jaime Brunkan THIS IS EXACTLY WHY they need to just have mandatory breed testing after something like this happens. Pretty sure they cost $60 off Amazon; put the questions to rest and just report what it is!

  Michaela Elliott Harve Morgan. I was thinking the same thing. The family probably adopted it under the chow/lab title. Many rescues are doing this.
