Liz Marsden It's true, and I know exactly what you mean. I never had an animal who did any real damage, but it's scary to be threatened, and even an inhibited bite is not something most people want to experience. I am dealing with this once again with my "foster" ACD. If people would tell the truth before they pass an unwanted animal off to the next person, this wouldn't happen.

  • Erika Leckington I've always told people that "manage" major behavior issues (not just aggression) that its like living in an abusive relationship as its typically gradual & you excuse it & manage it & once the animal is no longer there, you have a deep sigh of relief, no worries, anxiety gone but you didn't necessarily recognize it for what it was. Nor did you realize how much it effected the rest of your household (2 & 4 legged). I always vow to be more cognizant of this when I bring fosters home. I've gone from a "project behavior" fosterhome to a "project medical" fosterhome because of this; plenty of amazing animals out there!
